Our Programs
CoLab Philadelphia
CoLabPHL is an Airstream trailer converted into a mobile, multi-use platform to activate public spaces and bring health programming directly to Kensington, Philadelphia.
JeffSolves Philadelphia
JeffSolves is an initiative of the Jefferson Committee on Research (JCOR) supported by the office of the Provost that aims to bring together faculty members from across the Jefferson community in crowdsourcing events aimed to generate innovative approaches for diseases that lack effective treatments and could benefit from new therapies developed at Jefferson.
Design Thinking in Med School
The brainchild of the Provost and Dean, Dr. Mark Tykocinski, The Jefferson College Within a College (CWiC) program was developed as the first co-curricular design thinking program in a US medical school. CWiC-Design (aka. JeffDESIGN) was founded in 2015 and grew to 52 students across 3 classes at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (SKMC).
Health Design Bootcamp
In June 2018, we held an inaugural Health Design Bootcamp which consisted of a 2-day program experience in how to apply design thinking in a health care context. Health care providers were taught design skills and exercises in rapid-prototyping and testing to apply in their own work.
