Partial Mandibulectomy Simulation Model
A 2 color model of the mandible with a tumor embedded in the bone. This model was designed to train surgeons on how to correctly determine tumor margins when planning and performing resections. This model is designed to be sawed through and provide a visual indication if the learner has impinged on the tumor margins. White indicates normal bone and the red color indicates the tumor. Inside the model, 2cm margins have been extended beyond the tumor boundary in all directions using the red color and this is hidden underneath the white material.
